Definition 1 The highest price any buyer is willing to pay for a given security at a given time; also called Bid price. Quoted Bid is a maximum price that a Market maker will pay for a security. Definition 2 An Offer of a specific amount of Money in Exchange for products and services, as in an auction. Definition 3 In some cases, this Term also refers to the maximum that an acquiring company is willing to pay for a Takeover target.
