Occurring within a single trading day, as opposed to spanning multiple days. "Intraday high" and "intraday low," for example, refer to a security's highest and lowest prices during that day's session — which can differ from its opening or closing price. Intraday trading refers to buying and selling within the same day, closing all positions before the market closes.
